Advanced YTT 300-Hour Track
With this non-refundable deposit of $650, you are registering for ALL SIX modules of our 2020 Advanced YTT in order to complete your 300-hour certification with Yoga Alliance. To make installment payments or pay the balance in full, you will use the item “Advanced YTT Payments” after making your initial deposit. The training modules are:
Module One: Ashtanga Vinyasa with Greg Tebb (100 hours)
Module Two: Sanskrit Studies with Greg Tebb (40 hours)
Module Three/ Four: Advanced Anatomy with Mary Ellen Yasay (40 hours)
Module Five: GAVY100 Gannon Power Vinyasa Yoga with Michael Gannon (100 hours)
Module Six: Path to the 300 with Amy Morse & Michele Mallory
ADVANCED YTT & 300-HOUR PROGRAM
You are registering for the 300-hour track in our 2020 Advanced YTT. Your tuition includes all modules as described below.
MODULES WITH THE MASTERS
module ONE with greg TEBB
ASHTANGA VINYASA: 100 hours
Greg will move us beyond Ashtanga Vinyasa Short Form and into the Primary and Intermediate series of this powerful practice. We will explore asana, cueing and assisting along with traditional Sanskrit and Shloka studies. Tebb has studied the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa method for over 17 years with his teacher Manju Jois and has Jois' blessing to teach into the Advanced series. He has completed a training manual with Jois which will be required reading for the training. Tebb will be traveling to us from his homebase in New York City.

module TWO with greg TEBB
SANSKRIT STUDIES: 40 hours
The ancient language of Sanskrit connects the mind to the asana in a deeper way. New studies and MRI scans show that memorizing ancient mantras increases the size of brain regions associated with cognitive function! Greg will teach the sound of the chants as well as how to write the Devanagari script while we study the meaning behind it.

modules THREE & FOUR with mary ellen YASAY
ADVANCED ANATOMY: 40 hours
Our “Yoga Doc” Mary Ellen will take us deeper into yoga anatomy and physiology with in-depth studies of the nervous system, biomechanics, fascia, myofascial release and more. Mary Ellen has over 17 years of experience as a yoga teacher. As a facilitator for DwiPada YTT, Mary Ellen draws on her background as an urgent care doctor, her interest in sports medicine and her true delight in teaching anatomy & physiology as it relates to the practice of yoga.

module FIVE with michael GANNON
GPVY: 100 hours
Join the Yoga Dealer as he returns to Memphis with his Gannon Power Vinyasa Yoga, GPVY100: Grounding Sequence! Gannon’s “puzzle piece” method of sequencing takes a challenging practice and makes it accessible to all levels. Michael Gannon is a shining star in the area of yoga and transformation. His rare understanding and unique teaching style of the original vinyasa system, paired with his pioneering GPVY system, makes yoga’s awakening powers — physical, mental and spiritual — available to all. Memphis is one of only TWO locations in the USA where Michael will be leading GPVY100 trainings in 2020, outside of his home school, Yogaloft Playa del Carmen, in Mexico’s Rivera Maya.
module FIVE Schedule & Dates:
June 20-28 (100 hr), 8 am – 6 pm each day of training
module SIX with amy MORSE & michele MALLORY
PATH TO THE 300: 20 hours
A professional photo shoot, yoga business & the law, grant-writing for yoga, philosophy, ethics and more! This module is required for our 300-hour candidates & also includes a 10-class pass. Photo shoot date & time TBD.
module SIX Schedule & Dates:
Jan 10 (4 hr) 6-10 pm Introduction
July 11 & 12 (12 hr) 1 – 7 pm, Closing Weekend & Presentation of 300-hour certificates
Tuition for the full 300-hour is $6500 if using our payment plan, $6000 if paid in full. We offer an additional $250 discount for Early Bird registration by November 1st, 2019. Modules are priced individually as listed – no additional discounts apply.
Do I have to be a yoga teacher to register for this program?
This is a teacher training program, however, we understand that serious students of yoga may also benefit from the knowledge gained here. We may choose to admit non-RYT®200 students on an individual basis if there is available space within the module, and if we feel the candidate would be an asset to the group. Please know that this training cannot replace a 200-hour training with Yoga Alliance. Non-teachers will not be able to use this program to register for 200-hour status and will receive a certificate of completion only for each module completed.
After completing the training, what qualifications will the students have?
Students who enroll in the full 300-hour track will receive a RYT®300 Yoga Alliance teacher training certificate. Current RYT®200 teachers can then decide to register this certification with Yoga Alliance towards the RYT®500 designation. Students who complete individual modules will receive a certificate of completion for that module, which they may choose to log as Continuing Education hours with Yoga Alliance.
What if a student has to miss some of a session or all of a session?
In order to graduate and receive your RYT®300 certificate from DwiPada Yoga Teacher Training, students must complete 280 contact hours. Students may not miss more than 15 hours cumulative of the training sessions. Students will not be able to make up missed sessions with traveling facilitators, so please make every attempt to clear your schedule and be present at all sessions. Students will be required to get materials from facilitators and return make-up work, as determined necessary by the facilitator, in a timely fashion. All absences, early departures or late arrivals will need to be cleared with the facilitator prior to the occurrence.
What kind of work can I expect outside of the training weekends?
Trainees will complete reading assignments, independent study and group work throughout the training in addition to being punctual and fully present for each training weekend. Trainees are expected to maintain or begin a daily yoga, meditation and journaling practice.
Do fees for training include the required or recommended texts?
No, the fees cover the training and training manual. Students will need to purchase required texts prior to the training.
What do students need to bring to sessions?
Students should bring a light-weight sweater or jacket, or blanket if they tend to get chilled. They should bring their own meals/snacks and beverages. Think light and nourishing; you will need energy. We have a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the studio. Bring learning tools to assist you, like: notebook, journal, pen, high-lighter, laptop, etc. Recordings & photos allowed only if cleared by facilitators.
What should students wear for the training?
Students should wear comfortable yoga clothes to each session. Body work and practice will be a part of each session. Students should consider a change of clothing as needed. There are no showers onsite.
Where will I be able to teach after the training?
Completion of this program is not a guarantee of a yoga teaching position. Each yoga studio has their own distinct application and audition process for new teachers. However, upon completing DwiPada’s Teacher Training, you will have the very marketable ability to teach both Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series as well as deepening your knowledge in teaching Vinyasa Flow yoga classes. Your facilitators will make every effort to guide you in your choices of where to teach.
